About
Samuel Ben-Or Avital
Through a deep
involvement with Kabbalah, Avital's vision of the world is guided by
sacred texts and a lifelong personal practice. And while kabbalistic
principals are only mentioned in passing on occasion, it is clear,
for those interested, that his exercises are in fact revealing a deeper
wisdom, an ancient science based on the cosmic laws of creation.

There
are images in the life of a man that
accompany him all his life. That is the
image of Samuel for me, Samuel is the
grand son and I am the great great son
of a great being that was the center
of our lives - Rabbi Eliyahu Ya’akov Abitbol peace be with him, and among all
my extended family; Samuel was the connecting
link that was between me, my father and my
grandmother Rachel peace be with
her. (My grand mother Rachel is the sister
of Samuel’s father R. Moshe Amram Abitbol may peace be with
them).
Samuel
remained faithful to his roots.
His faith in Hebrew is אמוּנתו)) EIMUNATO and his art is (אוּמנוּתו) UMANUTO. It’s a play on words that fits so
well his personality. Shemuel lives his
faith as he lives his art, originality
and faithfulness. His faith includes
all the gamut of the Jewish Civilization
in its colors and richness. His art includes
all facets of art with emphasis on mime.
Samuel
Avital, International Mime Teacher and
Perfomer
In
1971 Samuel opened the Le Centre
Du Silence in Boulder Colorado. From
1972-1982 Samuel founded and directed
the Boulder Mime Theater. Every year
Samuel produces the International
Summer Mime Workshop.
