Samuel Ben-Or Avital was born in a small village
Sefrou, near Fez, in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. He was educated in the
home of a simple and remarkable family, which traces its Kabbalistic lineage to
15th Century Spain and before. Carrying from father to son in an unbroken line,
in the Sephardim tradition the ancient, beautiful and practical knowledge of
the wisdom of the Kabbalah, which has been called the SOUL ENGINEERING sacred work.
In 1971, he founded Le Centre du Silence Mime School in Boulder, Colorado. USA. In addition to performing internationally, he also holds workshops
on Mime, kinesthetic expression,
and teaches privately. Samuel hosted for four years in Boulder,
Colorado, a bi-weekly forum of creative expression called Café-Salon

In addition to numerous articles, Avital has published three books – Mime
Workbook (1975) (a German edition,
Mimenspiel was published in 1985), Mime
and Beyond: The Silent Outcry (1985),
and The Conception Mandala: Creative
Techniques for Inviting a Child into Your Life (1992), co-authored with Mark Olsen. The BodySpeak™ Manual, and the
recent privately published book, The Invisible Stairway: Kabbalistic
Meditations on the Hebrew Letters, both in English and Hebrew.
He has spent the past 40 years performing and teaching worldwide.
Avital speaks six languages and considers himself as a dedicated and good
